1. Summary

1.1 The following decisions are sought:

1. That authority be given to the Director of Social Services to negotiate a single tender for the provision of a day service for people with a mental health problem in the Winchester Area.

2. That authority be given to the Director of Social Services to negotiate a single tender for the provision of an employment service for people with a mental health problem in the Winchester Area.

2. Reason

The commissioning of services for people with a mental health problem is a significant part of the County Council's equal opportunities approach to achieving Aim 1 "Maximising Life Opportunities". Supporting local voluntary organisations assists with Aim 3 "Achieving Economic Prosperity" and focus on quality and cost contributes to Aim 5 "Improving Services".
