1. Summary
1.1 The following decision is sought:
That £36,900 be awarded from the Business Travel Plan Partnership Fund allocation in the 2005/06 transport capital programme and £9,280 from revenue to the projects set out in attached Appendix 1.
2. Reason
2.1 This decision supports the following Aims of the Corporate Strategy:
(i) Aim 2 (Stewardship of the Environment) - the introduction of measures to encourage use of sustainable modes of transport through the Business Travel Plan Partnership funded projects will have a positive impact on the environment; and
(ii) Aim 3 (Achieving Economic Prosperity) - the projects delivered through the Business Travel Plan Partnership will widen travel choice for staff and visitors to these establishments, thereby increasing their attractiveness which should have a positive impact on business performance.
3. Other Options Considered and Rejected
3.1 No other options were considered appropriate for the delivery of the objectives or the principles of the Partnership Fund.
