5. PROJECT APPRAISAL:BRIGHTON HILL ROUNDABOUT,
BASINGSTOKE - SAFETY AND BUS PRIORITY IMPROVEMENTS

To consider the report of the Director of Environment on a project appraisal to
improve the safety and condition of the road layout at the Brighton Hill
Roundabout to reduce traffic accidents. The scheme also includes the
provision of a bus lane to improve the reliability and speed of public transport
services during peak traffic periods to encourage the use of better quality bus
services as an attractive and accessible alternative to the car.
6. MAPPING SERVICES AGREEMENT (Report herewith)
To consider the report of the Director of Environment which recommends that
Hampshire County Council participates in the new four year Mapping Services
Agreement arranged by the Improvement and Development Agency (I&DeA)
for Local Government on behalf of all Local Authorities and Fire Authorities.

Services on the property and financial implications of the strategy for the
reorganisation of primary school provision in the East New Forest Area.

To consider the report of the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory
Services on a building design project appraisal for a replacement
maths/technology teaching block at this school.

BUILDING DESIGN PROJECT APPRAISAL (Report herewith)
To consider the report of the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory
Services on a building design project appraisal for the remodelling and
refurbishment of the existing school building and new build classroom
block/early years unit at this school.
10. BLACKFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL, NEW FOREST -
BUILDING DESIGN PROJECT APPRAISAL (Report herewith)
To consider the report of the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory
Services on a building design project appraisal for an extension and
remodelling of Blackfield Junior School to create a 2.5 full time equivalent
Blackfield Primary School.
11. NEWTOWN SOBERTON INFANT SCHOOL, FAREHAM -
BUILDING DESIGN PROJECT APPRAISAL (Report herewith)
To consider the report of the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory
Services on a building design project appraisal for a new hall and internal
adaptations for a Nursery Unit at this school.
12. CONSTRUCTION PROCUREMENT AND EFFICIENCIES

To consider the report of the Director of Property, Business which details the
current development of the Hampshire Procurement Model and looks at the
evidence of efficiencies and how these will be evaluated in terms of cashable
and non cashable savings.
13. RISK MANAGEMENT FOR THE BUILT ESTATE 2004/05 PROGRESS
REPORT (Report herewith)
To consider the report of the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory
Services which confirms progress with the Risk Management Strategy for
2004/05, summarises agreed actions and resources required to improve
performance in 2005/06, recommends that resources available be directed to
the highest and most significant liabilities across the built estate and
recommends the Fire Safety Strategy and partnership with Hampshire Fire
and Rescue Service.
14. MISCELLANEOUS APPROVALS (Report herewith)
To consider the report of the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory
Services on a range of issues associated with revisions to the New Deals for
Schools (NDS) Condition programme for 2005/06, additions to the capital
repairs budget and funding strategies for projects previously approved by the
panel.
