1 Summary

1.1 The following decisions are sought:

i) That the final accounts for 2004/05 be approved.

ii) That the Executive Member for Education forward to Cabinet that 50%, £402,000 of the underspending in 2004/05 be carried forward and be added to the 2005/06 budget as set out in paragraph 1.10.

1.1 To approve the final accounts for the Education service for 2004/05 and agree the carry forward of under spendings to 2005/06.

1.2 Decisions on Education service revenue, expenditure and capital programmes impact on the financial resources available to this service to contribute to the corporate strategy aims as follows and all five of the Children Act key aims:

i) maximising life opportunities

ii) achieving economic prosperity

iii) improving services
