1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

1.2 That Councillors B.D. Dash; Mrs J. Frankum; Mrs C. Leversha as Chairman of the Children's Services PRC; Mrs P.A. West as Vice-Chairman of the Children's Services PRC and Felicity Hindson as Executive Member for Children's Services be appointed along with the Executive Member for Education to County Governor Forum Meetings until the Annual Meeting of the County Council in May 2009.

1 Reason

1.1 The County Governor Forum is intended to provide a forum for discussion of matters of mutual interest to governors and the County Council, to provide a vehicle of communication between governors and the Council, to enable governors to have an impact on the planning and review of their training and to facilitate consultation on new initiatives.

1.2 The former Education Committee in June 2001 appointed relevant leading Members to this Forum and it is proposed to continue this practice. Councillor Felicity Hindson as the Executive Member for Children's Services, Mrs. C. Leversha and Mrs. P. West as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Children's Services PRC, together with Councillors B.D. Dash, Mrs. J. Frankum are nominated as the new Council's representatives along with the Executive Member for Education.
