Major Projects Status Report

Report of the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory Services

Summary

The following decisions are sought:

1.1

That the position of the major capital projects being undertaken by the Director of Property, Business and Regulatory Services be noted.

1.2

That the additional funding added to the major capital projects at pre contract stage, previously approved by the Executive Members' Education and Policy and Resources at design project appraisal stage, be approved.

Reason(s)

2.1

To provide enhanced school accommodation and facilities.

2.2

This decision supports Aims 1 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy by providing improved school facilities which will benefit the school and its users.

Other options considered and rejected

3.1

The need of the school for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
