PURPOSE:

The grant would be used to contribute towards sessional worker fees, rent and miscellaneous

expenses for two groups of young people with severe disabilities. The group enables the young people to develop social skills, behavior management skills, basic literacy and numeracy, and information technology skills. The groups also combat social isolation. The group has strong support from the local Special Needs School.

CYO RECOMMENDATION:

The group works with young people with severe disabilities enabling them to develop social,

behaviour management, basic numeracy, literacy and information technology skills. A grant of £2,000 is recommended, to support a sessional worker, rent, transport and refreshments.
