1 Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

    That authority be given to consult on the proposal to amalgamate Burnham Copse Infant and Burnham Copse Junior schools to form a 210 place (one form entry) primary school.

2 Reason

2.1 The governing bodies of Burnham Copse Infant and Junior schools have requested that consultations take place on their proposal that the schools should amalgamate.

2.2 This decision supports the County Council's Corporate Aim 1 : Maximising life opportunities and Aim 4 : Building strong and safe communities, by making the best use of physical resources and engaging with the local community regarding the future of primary school provision in the area.
