Care Leavers' Passport to Success

Summary

The following decision is sought:

1.1

That approval is given from the Executive Member for Children's Services to develop, within the available resources, the range of services provided by `corporate parents' to care leavers, so as to enable them to make a successful transition to adulthood and independence.

Reason(s)

2.1

The decision supports Corporate Aim 1: `maximising life opportunities'; Aim 3: `achieving economic prosperity'; Aim 4: building strong and safe communities' and Aim 5: `improving services'.

2.2

To ensure consistency and equity for all care leavers across the county.

2.3

To promote the life chances, opportunities and emotional well-being of our most vulnerable young people.

2.4

To improve the performance indicators, identified in the Annual Performance Assessment.
