1. Summary

The following decisions are sought.

1.1 That the appointment of members to serve on the adoption and fostering panels until the annual meeting of the County Council in 2009 be as follows:

Central Hampshire Adoption Panel - Councillor K.G. Chapman.
County Adoption Panel - Councillor G.W. Davies-Dear.
North Hampshire Adoption Panel - Councillor G.W. Davies-Dear.
Southeast Hampshire Adoption Panel - Councillor Mrs. P.A. West.
Alton and Aldershot Fostering Panel - Councillor Sharyn Wheale.
Basingstoke Fostering Panel - Councillor Mrs. J.K. Frankum.
Fareham and Gosport Fostering Panel - Councillor F. Allgood.
Havant and Petersfield Fostering Panel - Councillor Dr. R.J. Ellis.
New Forest Fostering Panel - Councillor Mrs. K. Heron.
Winchester Fostering Panel - Councillor K.G. Chapman.

2. Reasons

2.1 To appoint members to the Adoption and Fostering Panels following the County Council elections.

2.2 The appointments support Aims 4 and 6 of the corporate strategy.
