PROPOSALS TO DEVELOP OR VARY NHS SERVICES

1. The Committee has been alerted to proposals of the New Forest Primary Care Trust on the service reconfiguration of mid-wife led maternity services, health visitor services and sexual health services. The Committee has met with New Forest Members and representatives of the Trust to discuss the proposals.

2. The Strategic Health Authority has published its Southeast Capacity Plan which includes recommendations for action which will have an impact on the way in which services are delivered. Further information has been sought and this will continue to be monitored.

3. This supports Aims 1,4 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy.
