1.1 |
The following decisions are sought: |
a. That the Cabinet requests the Overview and Scrutiny Committee to monitor the re-provision of community services/beds by PCTs in Hampshire. b. That the cabinet receive a further progress report in December 2005. | |

Reasons |
2.1 |
The purpose of this paper is to update Cabinet on the operational implementation of the Enhance Nursing Care project. |
2.2 |
The project is in the early stages of operational delivery; the buildings completed are Hawthorne Court in Fareham, Ticehurst in Aldershot, Willow Court in Andover, Oakridge House in Basingstoke and Fleming House in Eastleigh. |
2.3 |
In this first part of operational delivery we are phasing the admission of nursing residents with plans in place to have successfully admitted 238 nursing residents by March 2006. |
2.4 |
To achieve this we will have employed an additional 400 nurses, care and support staff. |
2.5 |
The paper sets out the background to the project and how the Section 31 agreement is now being put into practice in terms of Eligibility and admission to the nursing beds. |
2.6 |
The information is presented on a geographical basis that is aligned to the populations that are covered by the primary care Trusts clusters across the seven PCTs that are partners through the section 31 agreement. |
