1. At the May 2004 County Council meeting it was agreed that in future all items in the Forward Plan would be considered by the appropriate Policy Review Committee before consideration by the Cabinet or individual Executive Members. Key decisions on which the Buildings, Land and Procurement Panel currently advised the Leader would be excluded. This report presents for Members' consideration and information an item to be considered by the Executive Member for Environment: North Hampshire and Spatial Strategy on 13 September 2005 before submission to County Council on 29 September for decision.
2. The attached report seeks approval of the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI), a Minerals and Waste Development Document of the Hampshire Minerals and Waste Development Framework. Approval from the County Council is sought to submit the SCI to the First Secretary of State, and to take the Statement through a further stage of public consultation.
Recommendation
That the Committee be invited to consider this report and offer any comments which it believes the Executive Member for Environment: North Hampshire and Spatial Strategy and the County Council should take into account in making its decision.
