1 Summary

Applications have been received from people in Hampshire undertaking expeditions, overseas and personal development projects. These grants, if awarded, would support Aim 1 of the Corporate Strategy by maximising life opportunities. Applicants' details are as follows:-

1.1 Adrian Goddard, Cadnam

In February next year, Adrian is taking part in a 520 km bike ride through Vietnam and Cambodia in order to raise funds on behalf of Mencap. The ride will last for about 10 days starting in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and finishing at Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

Last year Mr Goddard raised £4,300 for completing a similar challenge through the Sinai Desert.

1.2 Mrs Patricia Batten, Gosport

Patricia Batten has committed herself to raising a minimum of £2,700 for the British Heart Foundation by taking part in a trek across The Great Wall of China between

14 and 24 October this year.
