The following decision is sought: |

|
That the Executive Member for Recreation and Heritage approves the proposal to improve access and services at Westbury Manor Museum, Fareham at an estimated cost of £200,000 of which £25,000 will be funded by the Recreation and Heritage Capital Programme and £25,000 from the Policy and Resources Capital Programme ( Access improvements ). The remaining £150,000 is to be funded by a £50,000 contribution by Fareham Borough Council and a £100,000 grant from the DCMS/Wolfson Foundation. |

2.1 |
To improve physical access to Westbury Manor Museum to meet the requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act, and to deliver improved museum services to members of the community in accordance with the Action Plan drawn up in consultation with Fareham Borough Council and the Hampshire County Museums and Archives Services' Service Plan. |

|
2.2 |
This decision supports Aims 1 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy by providing improved facilities at Westbury Manor Museum. |
