Appointments to Outside Bodies

1. Summary
1.1 The following decisions are sought:
(i) That Councillor M. Kendal be appointed to the New Forest Ninth Centenary Trust, formerly known as the New Forest Centre, in place of Councillor A. Weeks.
(ii) That having regard to the constitution of the Fareham Museum Joint Management Committee now specifying two (2) County Council representatives rather than three (3) as hitherto, the following appointments be confirmed:
Councillor J. Bryant and Councillor R.H. Price
2. Reason
2.1 At the meeting held on 26 May 2005, the Executive Member appointed Councillor A. Weeks, as the County Council's representative on the New Forest Centre. It transpires that this body is now known as the New Forest Ninth Centenary Trust. Councillor Kendal has been the County Council representative on this body for several years and following further discussions with the Executive Member and Councillor Weeks it is now proposed that he should continue to be the County Council's appointed representative.
2.2 At the meeting on 26 May 2005 the Executive Member appointed three representatives to the Fareham Museum Joint Management Committee; the constitution now specifies only two. Councillor Woodward, one of those appointed, does not wish to serve and accordingly it is recommended that the County Council representation be Councillors J. Bryant and R.H. Price.
