Bids for funding from Hampshire County Council to support district LSP's

Summary of Bid (Details of proposed activity the money will be spent on)	The funding will be used as part payment of the Year 2 annual salary of the Gosport Partnership Co-ordinator (Gosport LSP) at £30,000 p.a. pro rata. (Joint post with Networkfareham - see below) The co-ordinator is located with the Primary Care Trust - a key Gosport Partnership partner - thus helping to move the Partnership away from a Borough Council focus. Part of the money will be used to provide appropriate support for the co-ordinator
Timescale (anticipated period over which the money will be spent)	The Co-ordinator took up their 2-year appointment on Monday 8^th August 2005. The first £5000 granted by HCC to the Gosport Partnership in 2004 - 2005 will be used to support the co-ordinator post in 2005 - 2006. The £5,000 now requested will be used to support the Co-ordinator in the second year of their appointment 2006 - 2007.
How does this bid support the targets within the Community Strategy?	This is a shared post with Networkfareham (Fareham LSP). The Co-ordinator works on a half time basis directly for the Gosport Partnership and is managed by the Partnership Co-ordinating Group. The work of the Co-ordinator will ensure that the Partnership takes action on the key local priorities and raises its profile within the community.


	Overall funding arrangements (please specify total cost of project and the amounts contributed from other partners)		The total cost of employing the LSP Co-ordinator across Gosport and Fareham for 2 years is £72,000 (including on costs). The Co-ordinator works half time for each local authority and the necessary £36,000 for Gosport over 2 years has been committed by the following LSP partners Partner Commitment Received to date (Year 1) Fareham & Gosport Primary Care Trust £10,000 £5,000 Hampshire Police - Fareham & Gosport Division £6,000 £3,000 Hampshire County Council £10, 000 (Or £5,000 in view of the bid) £5,000 Gosport Borough Council £10,000 £5,000 Totals £36,000 for 2 year project £18,000 for 1^st year
