INQUIRIES RECEIVED AND ACTION TAKEN

1. The Committee continues to receive inquires form various bodies and members of the public. At the last meeting Members were alerted to inquiries about the temporary closure of the Grange and Blackbrook Birth Centres, cleanliness in hospitals, compliance with National Institute for Clinical Excellence guidelines and the Ambulance Service Estates Strategy.

2. When considering inquiries about the Ambulance Service Estates Strategy members were advised that the Patient and Public Involvement Service for the Ambulance Service had now decided that the estate strategy proposals were substantial and that the matter would now be considered by the Hampshire, Southampton, Portsmouth and Isle of Wight Health Scrutiny Joint Committee at it s next meeting.

3. This supports Aims 1,4 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy
