Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That authority be given to the Director of Adult Services to negotiate a single tender for the provision of day services for people with a physical disability in South East Hampshire.

Reason(s)

2.1

The proposal represents the most economically viable arrangement for the County Council and will provide a key strategic service for people with a physical disability.

2.2

The proposal supports Corporate Strategy Aim 1 (maximising life opportunities) through the promotion of social inclusion, access to community resources and support according to individual needs, Aim 3 (achieving economic prosperity) through facilitating increased access to a range of services through the partnership with the Service Provider and Aim 5 (improving services) through the focus on cost and quality and service review to ensure that it reflects current commissioning requirements and is fit for purpose.
