That the Executive Member for Recreation and Heritage approves the design project appraisal for Bursledon Library scheme at an estimated cost of £303,000, excluding fees. |

To enable a modern local library facility which will provide an estimated 8,000 catchment population, along with an enlarged community building. |

This decision supports Aims 1 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy by providing a new modern local library service for Bursledon and improved community facilities. |

The need for the facilities provided by this scheme has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need. |
