1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

i) That the amendments to the current Acquisitions and Disposals Policy, as required by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council, are duly noted and endorsed by the Executive Member.

2. Reason

In order to comply with Accreditation standards, the Museums Service is required to update and amend its Acquisitions and Disposals Policy on a regular basis. This will enable the Museums and Archives Service to operate efficiently and effectively in support of key aims and objectives of the Recreation and Heritage Department and its key stake holders.
