4. PARK MANAGERS UPDATE
The Forum considered and noted the report of the Park Manager (Item 4) updating on developments at the Park since April 2005.
The Forum requested that in future the Stakeholder members and JMC members be mailed the Staunton Newsletter. Copies were also requested by the Local Authorities.
John Tickle (Hampshire County Council) asked Mrs Okwuadigbo (Havant Borough Council) if she could be of further assistance in achieving feasibility funding for developments on the Leigh Park Nursery Site. Mrs Okwuadigbo said she raise the issue at the next Area Investment Framework meeting and speak with colleagues to investigate whether she could be of more assistance in this matter. However criteria were very rigid and demonstrate added value and an holistic approach to education / heritage / business partnership.
Mr T Hart added that the activities taking place on the Leigh Park Nursery Site were meeting a lot of educational needs and working in conjunction with local schools.
The Chairman, on behalf of the Stakeholder Forum, wished to convey his congratulations to the team at Staunton for achieving the prestigious Green Flag Award.
Mrs Okwuadigbo suggested working with Havant Borough Council to develop the promotion of Sir George Staunton Country Park and investigate possible private sector sponsorship.
Stephen d'Este Hoare questioned the Park Manager on spend per head figures quoted as £2.80 in a previous financial report. In answer the Park Manager indicated that the new figure included tolls which would account for a significant amount of the difference.
RESOLVED:
i) That the report be noted.
5. ITEMS FOR FUTURE CONSIDERATION
Cllr Mrs. Denston suggested discussing education at Staunton, and in particular links with Portsmouth Water Ltd. Ian Limb (Portsmouth Water Limited) gave a brief update on the recent work between Portsmouth Water and Sir George Staunton Country Park.

Ian Limb indicated that a number of stakeholder and consultation groups had been established and that there was unlikely to be anything significant to update members on since the previous presentation by Andy Neve (Technical Director, Portsmouth Water Ltd.).
RESOLVED:
