PART I

AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION - POLICY FRAMEWORK

On 28 November 2005, the Cabinet considered and endorsed the recommendation of the Governance Committee for an amendment to the Constitution in order to specify the plans and strategies that form the County Council's current policy framework, as follows:

RECOMMENDATION

That the following amendment be made to Part 1, Chapter 4, Paragraph 4.01 c) of the Constitution:

Delete the existing list of plans specified under sub-section c) and replace with:

c) agreeing and adopting the following plans and strategies (`policy framework'):

Community Strategy

Performance Plan

Plans and strategies that together comprise the Development Plan

These are the other plans and strategies that the Council has agreed should be adopted as a matter of local choice:

Corporate Strategy

Children and Young People's Plan

Local Transport Plan
