Summary

1.1 This report makes a recommendation in respect of the County Council's appointment of supporting elected Members to the Hampshire Strategic Partnership (HSP).

1 Background

1.1 The duty in the Local Government Act 2000 for local authorities to prepare community strategies with partners has been progressed in Hampshire, through the establishment of Local Strategic Partnerships in each District, and a Strategic Partnership for the County (HSP), consistent with Government guidelines.

1.2 The previous arrangements have been for the Executive Member for Community Development to be supported at the HSP by the Leaders of the two opposition parties, namely Cllr Kelly and Cllr Collett.

2 Recommendation

2.1 To re appoint County Councillors Kelly and Collett to support the Executive Member for Community Development and External Affairs on the HSP, and in addition appoint Cllr Kirk.
