1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

That approval be given under Sections 65 and 66 of the Highways Act 1980 for the sections of footway on the east side of the A3057 between Staff Road and the entrance to Hunts Farm Sports Ground, Timsbury to be converted to permit use by pedestrians and cyclists.

2. Reason

2.1 This decision supports Aims 1, 2 and 5 (Maximising Life Opportunities, Stewardship of the Environment and Improving Services) of the Corporate Strategy by enhancing safety for utility and recreational cyclists.

3.1 No other options have been put forward by Test Valley Borough Council.
