1. At the May 2004 County Council meeting it was agreed that in future all items in the Forward Plan would be considered by the appropriate Policy Review Committee before consideration by the Cabinet or individual Executive Members. Key decisions on which the Buildings, Land and Procurement Panel currently advised the Leader would be excluded. This report presents for Members' consideration and information an item to be considered by the Cabinet on 23 January 2006.
2. The attached report considers the full Local Transport Plan (LTP) which has to be submitted to the Government by the end of March 2006. The full LTP builds on the Provisional LTP which was approved by the County Council and published in July 2005.
3. Local transport authorities are required to produce LTPs every five years, in accordance with formal guidance from the Department for Transport.
Recommendation
That the Committee considers this report and offers any comments which it believes the Cabinet should take into account in recommending the County Council to approve the full Local Transport Plan.
