1 Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

    · That the accounts of the Aldershot Military Historical Trust for 2004/05, as set out in Appendix 1 are approved.

2 Reason(s)

2.1 Hampshire County Council is the sole trustee of the Aldershot Military Trust. The Trust is a new Trust set up in February 2004, following the dissolution of a similarly named Trust.

2.2 Annual approval of the Trust's accounts are required for the annual Charity Commission return.

2.3 The Trust owns much of the collection associated with the Aldershot Military Museum. All income and expenditure relating to the Aldershot Military Museum is included within Hampshire County Council's accounts and no financial transactions took place in 2004/05 relating the to the Trust.

Note

No transactions have occurred. However, the Trustees appreciate the indirect financial support provided by Hampshire County Council and Rushmoor Borough Council as Joint Management Committee members in ensuring the preservation and upkeep of the collection.

The Trust was officially registered with the Charities Commission on
27 February 2004. The 2004/05 financial year is the first year of accounts for the new charity.
