1.1 The following decision is sought:

That the Executive Lead Member for Children's Services consider Hampshire's strategy for supporting parents once the consultation has been completed.

2 Reason

These decisions support Aim one of the Corporate Strategy, maximising life opportunities; Aim four, building strong and safe communities, and Aim five, improving services.

All five aims of the Children Act are supported through the development of this Strategy by supporting parents to ensure children:

_ are healthy;

_ stay safe;

_ enjoy and achieve;

_ make a positive contribution; and

_ achieve economic well-being.
