1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

That the Executive Member for Recreation and Heritage recommends to Cabinet that the Local Transport Plan, as it relates to access to the countryside and constitutes the Rights of Way Improvement Plan for Hampshire, be submitted to Council for approval.

2. Reason

2.1 This decision supports Aims 1 to 5 of the Corporate Strategy (Maximising Life Opportunities; Stewardship of the Environment; Achieving Economic Prosperity; Building Strong and Safe Communities; and Improving Services) which are all covered by the Local Transport Plan.

3. Other Options Considered and Rejected - None, the statutory Rights of Way Improvement Plans were integrated by Government into the Local Transport Plan from 2005.

5. Dispensation granted by the Standards Committee - Not applicable.
