Authority to Negotiate Single Tenders - Residential Care and Supported Accommodation for People with a Mental Health Problem in Mid Hampshire

Summary

1.1

The following decisions are sought:

That approval be given for a single tender be negotiated with Together - Working for Wellbeing for the provision of the following service to serve the Mid Hampshire area:

Residential care services for 3 years - with an option to extend for a

further 2 years

That approval be given for single tenders be negotiated with Stonham for the provision of the following services to serve the Mid Hampshire area:

Residential care services for 3 years

Domiciliary care services (Support, Time and Recovery Service) for

3 years

Reason(s)

2.1

This decision supports Aim 1 of the Corporate Strategy, maximising life opportunities, by developing replacement services that focus on offering choice, flexibility and a better environment for people requiring accommodation with care and support

2.2

This decision supports Aim 3 of the Corporate Strategy, achieving economic prosperity, by working with and supporting not-for-profit organisations to commission the replacement services.

2.3

This decision supports Aim 5 of the Corporate Strategy, improving services, by developing replacement services that offer support according to individual need and based on the principles of recovery and social inclusion

- Maintaining the current position has been considered and rejected because the proposed arrangement offers an improvement to service and is the most cost effective use of public monies.
