Affordable Housing and Key Worker Strategy

Summary

1.1

The following decisions were made:

(i) that approval was given to commission the relevant research into demand for different types of key worker and affordable housing to inform the relevant strategy options, and to report back to Cabinet in due course;

(ii) subject to 1 above, approve the Affordable and key Worker Housing Strategy and its components as indicated in Strategy Elements A through to F of this report;

(iii) that, subject to the availability of resources, the Director of Property, Business & Regulatory commences with the individual Strategy Elements;

(iv) that an annual monitoring and update report is presented to Cabinet regarding the progress of the Strategy.

(v) that Cabinet approves the continued contribution to key worker and affordable housing from its general land disposals.

Aim 1 - Maximising life opportunities by creating opportunities for affordable housing to be provided in Hampshire.

Aim 5 - Improving services by addressing potential recruitment issues in key service areas.
