Overall Objectives of the Job:
To co-ordinate the work of the 6 Community Boards in contributing to delivery of the Community Strategy at local level.
The Main Duties
1. |
To advise and enable the 6 Community Boards to contribute to the delivery of the Community Strategy in their localities. |
2. |
To provide support and advice to the Chairmen and members of the Community Boards. |
3. |
To provide the Community Boards with regular and accurate information to enable them to deliver the agreed programmes. |
4. |
To provide administrative support for the 6 Community Boards as required. |
5. |
To explore and develop funding and resource opportunities for specific initiatives on behalf of the Community Boards. |
6. |
To co-ordinate seminars, consultation exercises and training events on behalf of the Community Boards. |
7. |
To act as the main contact between the Community Boards and the Havant Community Partnership Co-ordinator (Policy and Partnership Officer). |
8. |
To establish and develop links with partner organisations, local businesses, community groups, the voluntary sector and members of the local community. |
9. |
To enable partner organisations to utilise the Community Boards network for consultation purposes, including co-ordination of partner liaison. |
10. |
To carry out any other duties that may be required, commensurate with the general level and responsibility for the post. |
