1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

      That the capital programme for coastal schemes and projects in 2006/07 be agreed as follows:

    Coastal Defence Works £30,000

    Access and Environmental Improvements £60,000

    Studies and Joint Projects £43,000

    Fees £13,000

    Total £146,000

1.2 These are outlined in more detail in the following table:

1.3 This report also summarises progress on the funded schemes and projects for 2005/06 and proposes a capital programme of schemes totalling £146,000 for the year 2006/07.

2. Reason

2.1 This decision supports Aim 2 (Stewardship of the Environment) and Aim 5 (Improving Services) of the Corporate Strategy by funding a range of continuing or new projects for the purposes of coastal conservation and for access and environmental improvements on County Council land, and elsewhere in partnership with others.
