1. Summary

1.1 This report sets out items raised by Rushmoor Members for consideration by the Panel.

2. Highway Maintenance Priorities - Councillor John Wall

2.1 It is understood that a system for monitoring highway condition and for prioritising proposals for planned maintenance of the highway is essential.

2.2 It would be helpful to take one or two particular examples, preferably from roads in the borough, to see how their condition is monitored and how the rating system applies to them for future programming of work.

3. Various Matters - Councillor Keith Dibble

3.1 North Lane Bridge - Height Restriction

A study was carried some time ago to determine if a height restriction could be introduced at the railway bridge at the northern end of North Lane which should reduce the number of heavy goods vehicles using North Lane as a through traffic route.

Was this study completed and what were its findings?

3.2 North Lane - upgrade of pedestrian to pelican crossing:

Can consideration be given to conversion of the existing zebra crossing near Denmark Square to a controlled crossing?

3.3 Highways Maintenance issues:

      (i) Can we receive a report on the delays to complete the Ash Road/North Lane junction resurfacing following recent water main bursts?

(ii) Can we receive a report on the likelihood of resurfacing the following footpaths in the following locations?

Roberts Road, Haig Road, Clive Road, Anglesey Road area.

Pegasus Avenue, Institute Road, Denmark Square.
