1 Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

(a) That the actions being taken to manage the budget before the accounts are closed later in the year be approved.

2 Reason

2.1 Financial Regulations require that the revenue budgets of services be regularly monitored and that corrective action be taken, as necessary, to control expenditure within approved cash limits.

2.2 Decisions on the revenue budget will support all of the aims of the corporate strategy by focusing financial resources in these areas:

· Maximising life opportunities

· Stewardship of the environment

· Achieving economic prosperity

· Building strong and safe communities

· Improving services

· Developing councillors and staff
