Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

That the Executive Member for Children's Services approves the internal adaptation project at the Littlefold Family Centre, at an estimated cost of up to £245,000, excluding fees.

Reason

2.1

To develop a range of inter-activity services from the existing building to provide a dedicated and coordinated early education, childcare, family and health service.

2.2

This decision supports Aim 1 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy by providing improved facilities which will benefit all users of the school.

Other options considered and rejected

3.1

The need of the family centre for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the report are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need.
