Summary

1.1

The following decisions are sought:

That approval be given:

1. The progress being made with Merton Rise/Everest Community College, Nursing Care Accommodation and Winchester Discovery Centre and that further reports be presented to the Buildings, Land and Procurement Panel as the schemes develop.

2. A further report being presented to the BLPP on the implications of the review of works to the final two refurbishment schemes at Westholme Older Persons' Home, Winchester and Emsworth House.

Reason(s)

2.1

To enable the development proposals for Merton Rise, Everest Community College, Winchester Cultural Centre, and the refurbishment of Older Persons Homes to progress.

2.2

This decision supports Aims, 1, 2, 4 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy by providing opportunities for modern, sustainable and attractive accommodation where people want to live, a new school with improved facilities for the community, support facilities for the elderly, working in partnership with the Strategic Health Authority and local Primary Care Trust, and a sustainable and refurbished building with improved and enhanced library facilities in Winchester.
