1. This report presents for Members' consideration and information an item to be considered by the Executive Member for South Hampshire and Resource Management on 30 May 2006.
2. The attached report outlines the 2006/07 and 2007/08 Passenger Transport budget situation and proposes a plan of action to ensure value for money and the containment of expenditure within available budget levels. It also introduces the area review process and the possibility of introducing a new mechanism for the assessment and monitoring of future bus subsidy support.
Recommendation
That the Committee offers any comments which it believes the Executive Member for Environment: South Hampshire and Resource Management should take into account in making his decision.
