The following decisions are sought: |

1. That the project appraisal for the construction of a one-form entry infant school at an estimated cost of up to £3,295,000, excluding fees be approved. 2. That the opportunity to link the school CCTV system into the Rushmoor Borough Council's CCTV monitoring system be investigated. |

Reason |

2.1 |
Pinewood Infant School was largely destroyed by fire in March 2003 and the Cabinet decided on 13 December 2004 that the school should be rebuilt as a one-form entry infant school. |
2.2 |
This decision supports Aim 1 and 5 of the Corporate Strategy by providing improved facilities which will benefit all users of the school. |

The need for the facilities in question has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost effective way of meeting that need. |
