    To receive any apologies for absence.

2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

All members who believe they have a personal or a prejudicial interest in any matter to be considered at the meting must declare their personal interest and having regard to the circumstances described in paragraphs 9, 10, 11 and 12 of the Fire Authority's Code of Conduct, consider whether to leave the meeting whilst the matter is discussed. The declarations should be made at the time of the relevant debate.

To confirm the Minutes of the meeting of the Committee held on 21 April, 2006.

4. DEPUTATIONS

Pursuant to Standing Order 19, to receive any deputations to this meeting.

5. PAY AND REWARDS REVIEW

    To receive a PowerPoint presentation from Helen Andrews, Organisation and Development Officer, and to consider the report of the Chief Officer on the pay and awards programme.

6. PRESENTATION OF THE WORKFORCE PLAN (Workforce Plan and Workforce Action Plan to follow)

    To consider the report of the Chief Officer seeking agreement for the Workforce Plan and associated Action Plan.

7. ESTABLISHMENT

To consider the report of the Chief Officer updating Members on the authorised and actual establishment, as of 18 May 2006.

8. REMUNERATION ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE PRINCIPAL OFFICER TEAM

    To consider the report of the Chief Officer recommending a review of the current local remuneration and conditions for the Principal Officer team.

9. FAIRNESS AND DIGNITY FORUM

To consider the report of the Chief Officer summarising the content and discussion at the meeting of the Fairness and Dignity Forum, held on Thursday 18 May 2006 at Hightown Fire Station.

10. UPDATES ON CURRENT HUMAN RESOURCES ISSUES

    To receive oral updates from the Chief Officer on the following issues concerning Human Resources:

    (i) Regional Management Board - Human Resources Activity

    (ii) Appointment of Head of Human Resources

    (iii) Backpay and Long Service Increments
