1. Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

That the information on the monitoring of customer feedback in the year ending 31 March 2006 contained in the accompanying report be approved for consideration by Cabinet.

2. Reasons

1.2 The County Council operates a corporate policy on the handling of suggestions and complaints that requires annual reports to be made to Policy Review Committees and Cabinet.

1.3 The accompanying report to the Recreation and Heritage Policy Review Committee reviews the Recreation and Heritage Department's record on the handling of suggestions, complaints and compliments in the year ending 31 March 2006. A consolidated report covering all departments of the County Council will be considered by Cabinet at a later date.

1.4 Through the action it takes to review and respond to customer feedback, the Recreation and Heritage Department contributes directly to Aim 5 of the Corporate Strategy (Improving Services).
