Summary

1.1

The following decision is sought:

(i) that approval be given to the proposed land exchange at set out in the report, and the Director of Property, Business & Regulatory Services (Head of Estates) be given delegated authority to settle detailed terms.

Reason(s)

2.1

To secure an improved outdoor play area for Cheriton Primary School at no cost to the County Council.

2.2

This decision supports the following Aims of the Corporate Strategy:

Aim 1 - Maximising life opportunities by creating a significantly larger play area for use by Cheriton Primary School.

Aim 5 - Improving services by providing betters sports and recreation facilities for school children.

Not proceeding with the land exchange, but then having to acquire the additional land at full open market value.
