1. This report presents for Members' information and consideration an item to be determined by the Executive Member for Environment: South Hampshire and Resource Management on 25 July 2006.
2. At his meeting on 30 May 2006 the Executive Member for Environment agreed a strategy to contain public transport expenditure within the 2006/07 budget. The report details services now identified for reduction or withdrawal on the basis that they exceed the Council's subsidy limit of £2.50 per passenger journey. It also comments on operational changes proposed to those Cango services that have so far been reviewed as part of the local district-wide passenger transport reviews.
Recommendation
That the Committee considers this report and offers any comments which it believes the Executive Member for Environment: South Hampshire and Resource Management should take into account in making his decision.
