1 Application for grants

1.1 Applications for scholarships under the terms of the Mace Trust have now been received (Appendix 1 shows the terms of the Trust). Scholarships totalling £2,600 are now recommended, which would provide support for all eligible applicants. The amounts will be payable in each year of the student's course.

2 Financial position

2.1 The Trust's annual income is approximately £6,500. Having taken account of funds already committed by awards made in previous years there is £3,000 available to spend on new awards in the academic year 2006/2007. This sum covers the recommendations made in Appendix 2.

Recommendation

That scholarships be awarded to the individuals in the amounts shown in Appendix 2
