1. APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRMAN

      In accordance with Section 6 of the Constitution, nominations for the appointment of Chairman of the Committee for the ensuing year are requested.

2. APPOINTMENT OF VICE CHAIRMAN

      In accordance with Section 6 of the Constitution nominations for the appointment of Vice Chairman of the Committee for the ensuing year are requested.

      MATTERS FOR DECISION

5 HAMPSHIRE SCHOOL ORGANISATION COMMITTEE - CONSTITUTION

      To consider the report of the Secretary and Legal Adviser to the Committee setting out proposed revisions to the constitution of the Committee.

6. APPLEMORE COLLEGE, DIBDEN PURLIEU - CLOSURE OF SIXTH FORM

      The Chairman of Governors to be invited to present the proposals of the Governing Body of Applemore College. The Committee are asked to consider the prescribed information to change the age range so that the college ceases to provide sixth form education with effect from 31 July 2008. No representations were received in response to the public notices published on 6 July 2006.

7. BRIDGEMARY COMMUNITY SPORTS COLLEGE, GOSPORT - ESTABLISHMENT OF A 14-19 VOCATIONAL CENTRE

      The Committee are asked to consider the request from the college Governing Body for deferment of consideration of the proposals. See enclosed letter.

8. RE-ORGANISATION OF SPECIAL SCHOOLS FOR CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES IN EAST HAMPSHIRE

      The Committee are asked to consider the request from the Local Education Authority to modify the implementation date in respect of the proposals. See enclosed letter.

      MATTERS FOR INFORMATION

9. PROPOSED NEW PRIMARY SCHOOL AT DOWDS FARM, HEDGE END

      No objections were received in response to the public notices published on 8 April 2005

      and accordingly the Local Education Authority has determined to implement the

      proposals, as set out in the notice.

      RECOMMENDATION:

      That the Committee note the action taken by the Local Education Authority.

10. KINGS COPSE PRIMARY SCHOOL, HEDGE END - ESTABLISHMENT OF

      A UNIT FOR PUPILS WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENT

      No objections were received in response to the public notices published on 1 September 2005 and accordingly the Local Education Authority has determined to implement the proposals, as set out in the notice.

      RECOMMENDATION:

      That the Committee note the action taken by the Local Education Authority.
