1 Summary

1.1 The following decision is sought:

That the Executive Member endorses the proposal for the Children's Services Department to negotiate with partners to develop an agreement which will create second stage of the CAMHS Children's Trust: comprehensive commissioning for community based CAMHS services.

2 Reason

The plan to develop a stronger partnership (stage 2) for CAMHS was part of the original proposal to the Government to obtain "Children's Trust" status for this partnership in April 2003.

This partnership supports the Corporate Strategy in the following ways:

"Hampshire secure and safe for all" - by increasing the ability of children to be cared for safely within their extended family and community an attend, enjoy and achieve at school.

"Maximising well-being" - by ensuring that children and young people are healthy, emotionally confident and maintaining meaningful relationships.
