Summary

1.1

The following decisions are sought:

That the design project appraisal for The Horrill Centre, at an estimated cost of £1,024,000, excluding fees, and the use of the capital receipt from the sale of the Old School House, Cannon Street, Lymington, for The Horrill Centre be approved.

Reasons

2.1

This purpose-built Centre will provide enhanced facilities for elderly people and other vulnerable and socially excluded groups which will maximise their well-being and enhance the quality of their environment.

Other options considered and rejected

3.1

The need for the facilities provided by this scheme has been identified as a priority and the works set out in the design project appraisal are considered to be the most appropriate and cost-effective way of meeting that need.
