Summary |

1.1 |
The following decisions are sought: |
|
|
|
a) |
Approval be given to the strategy set out in the report for dealing with the Treadgolds Museum complex in Portsmouth whereby the two ancillary buildings would be sold and the receipts applied to the partnership project for the restoration and reoccupation of the main Treadgolds building; |
|
|
|
|
b) |
The Director of Property, Business & Regulatory Services (Head of Estates) be authorised to settle detailed terms and conditions for the sale and transfer of property identified in the report; and |
|
|
|
|
c) |
In the event of material slippage in the project timetable, a further report be presented to Members. |

Reasons |
|
|
2.1 |
The receipts from the sale of the two ancillary buildings at the Treadgolds Museum complex will, subject to the partnership project proceeding, enable the relocation and reoccupation of the main Treadgolds building, enhancing the quality of place for the community, occupiers and users. |
|

Other options considered and rejected |
|
|
3.1 |
A range of options have been considered, from complete renovation of all buildings and upgrading the museum exhibit through to placing the collection in store and selling all buildings for alternative uses. |
