1. Summary

1.1 The Basingstoke Canal Options Appraisal attached at Appendix A was submitted to the Basingstoke Canal Joint Management Committee on 20th October 2006. The recommendations set out in the Appraisal were approved by the JMC.

1.2 The recommendations will now require a decision by the Executive Member for Recreation and Heritage and are placed before the Culture and Communities Policy Review Committee to allow the Committee to offer any advice or make any observations to help inform that Decision.

Recommendation

    That the recommendations set out in the Options Appraisal are endorsed by the Policy Review Committee and are submitted to the Executive Member for Recreation and Heritage for her consideration.
