      MATTERS FOR DECISION

3. REVIEW OF PRIMARY SCHOOL PROVISION IN THE NORTH AND EAST ANDOVER AREA - SHEPHERDS SPRING INFANT AND JUNIOR SCHOOLS, ANDOVER - PROPOSED CLOSURE (Pages 8-203)

      To receive deputations in relation to these proposals.

      The Director of Children's Services to be invited to present the Local Education Authority proposal. The Committee are also asked to consider the prescribed information to discontinue Shepherds Spring Infant School and Shepherds Spring Junior School in the Borough of Test Valley, with effect from 31 August, 2008.

      The Committee are also asked to consider the representations received to these proposals following publication of notices.

4. MODIFICATION OF IMPLEMENTATION DATE - PROPOSED NEW PRIMARY SCHOOL AT DOWDS FARM, HEDGE END (Pages 204-206)

    The Committee are asked to consider the request from the Local Education Authority to modify the implementation date from 1 September 2007 to 1 September 2008. Further information is set out in the enclosed paperwork.

5. MODIFICATION OF IMPLEMENTATION DATE - KINGS COPSE PRIMARY SCHOOL, HEDGE END - ESTABLISHMENT OF A UNIT FOR PUPILS WITH VISUAL IMPAIRMENT (Pages 207 - 209)

    The Committee are asked to consider the request from the Local Education Authority to modify the implementation date from 1 September 2007 to 1 September 2008. Further information is set out in the enclosed paperwork.

6 MODIFICATION OF IMPLEMENTATION DATE - RE-ORGANISATION OF SPECIAL SCHOOLS FOR CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DIFFICULTIES IN EAST HAMPSHIRE (Page 210)

      The Committee are asked to consider the request from the Local Education Authority to modify the implementation date from 31 March/1April 2006 to 31 August 2006 for The Meadow and Whitedown Schools and to1 September 2006 for Hollywater School, and in doing so consider Counsel's advice regarding the issue of retrospective approval.

7. SCHOOL ORGANISATION BUDGET (Page 211)

      To consider the report of the Chief Executive of Hampshire County Council setting out the proposed budget of the Committee in respect of the financial year 2005/06. The report also gives details of the Committee's expenditure to date for 2006/07.
